Seesaw

What is Seesaw?

Seesaw is a secure online platform for student engagement. Teachers can empower students to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. Children “show what they know” using photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs, and links. It is simple to get student work in one place and nothing is shared without teacher approval.

All children are given an individual login code to share any  learning which is competed at home. This can be pictures, writing or videos created in another app. Whatever learning your child is doing at home, Seesaw allows them to share this with their teacher.

Normally, we have a class journal where children share their work with the whole class. However, whilst we are learning from home, only your child and their teacher will be able to see the work shared and it will not be made public to others in class.

On this page, you will find a link to a video by 'Mr P ICT' who will explain just what Seesaw is and how to get set up and use it effectively at home. You will see that it is quite simple and, in no time at all, the children will be familiar with the platform.

As a staff, we are extremely excited to get set up with Seesaw and engage the children in their home learning.
